Seems to be happening worryingly often.

(17,304 posts)but she still seems able to function cognitively despite the visible shaking. She must be terribly self-conscious about it. I hope she can complete her term.

(32,634 posts)My good friend was diagnosed with it several years ago and she was able to control it by changing her eating habits. Hypoglycemia is sort of like the opposite of diabetes. With diabetes the blood sugar is too high and sometimes insulin is needed to quickly bring the level down. But hypoglycemia can be controlled by having frequent snacks and small meals throughout the day rather than one large meal later in the day.
And yes, dehydration is also a possibility considering Mrs. Merkel's age.
I hope she has regular visits with a doctor.

(4,425 posts)1. The shaking could be a symptom of several possible health issues. I hope whatever it is isnt serious.
2. There is no evidence that whatever it is, is degrading her decision making or her ability to lead. Lets hope it stays that way.
3. I am reminded of the coverage of Hillarys health problem during the 2016 campaign. Do not bite on this bullshit.
That is all.
