North Korea leader Kim Jong-un has received a personal letter from US President Donald Trump, state media report.
Mr Kim praised the letter as "excellent" and said he would "seriously contemplate the interesting content", the KCNA news agency says.
He also praised Mr Trump's "extraordinary courage".
Earlier this month, Mr Trump said a beautiful letter had been sent to him by the North Korean leader.
It was not disclosed when or how Mr Trump's letter to Mr Kim had been delivered. The White House has not commented.

Thae Yong Ho, the well known diplomatic defector from North Korea believes that Xi may have a proposal to transmit to the US at the upcoming G20 meeting in Osaka. Thae has been emphasizing that Trump's focus is using the possibility of a third summit with Kim Jong Un as an election campaign strategy.

(14,165 posts)That Donnie is privately proposing opening up NK for business. That he will look the other way in regards to NK internal human rights standards, if Kim will approve a big international Trump resort, that will attract all those celebrities Kim loves on those private beaches. Hinted at in that first strange video he made for Kim for their first meeting. And framing it to show how that opening up of NK will bring in millions of tourism dollars, and also help to quash the bad reputation and image of Kim to the world.
