Graham: 'Handful' of GOP senators will vote to block Trump's emergency declaration
Source: The Hill
Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) predicted on Friday that a "handful" of Republicans will back a resolution to block President Trump's emergency declaration to construct the U.S.-Mexico border wall.
"A handful.
[But] there will be enough [left] to sustain a veto," Graham told Fox News, asked how many Republicans would vote with Democrats in the Senate.
Graham didn't offer a specific number for how many of his Republican colleagues he thinks will back the resolution.
He said that he would "absolutely not" vote for the Democrat-led resolution, adding that he is "100 percent with the president."

(47,351 posts)And he will go 100 percent down with Trump when he falls. Graham's political career is over. I don't know what Trump/Russia has on the guy, but it must be "yuge"!
I wonder how many republicans Trump will end up taking down with him.

(1,977 posts)and maybe its just "wishful thinking", but what if Graham immediately went to the FBI when/if Trump tried to blackmail him? What if they decided Graham should just "play along"? What if what you are watching is just Graham playing along until the end and then they spring the blackmail charge in Trump too? There is no explanation for his actions other than blackmail, and he isn't fooling most people. Again, maybe wishful/hopeful thinking, but it would be an explanation for the unexplainable.
I know that may seem far-fetched, but it really is possible, though I won't keep my hopes up. I do think there are people around Trump who could be plants. He is really so easy to win over, being he is terribly vain and gullible. Graham would fit that to a T as he is a real "law and order" type guy.
We'll see. These days nothing would surprise me!
