Former Rep. Joe Crowley Joins Coalition To Support Trump's Trade Agreement

After losing the primary last year to Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Crowley joined a lobbying firm and aligned himself with Pass USMCA.

ormer Rep. Joe Crowley (D-N.Y.) has joined the “Pass USMCA Coalition” in an effort to help President Donald Trump’s United States-Mexico-Canada trade agreement pass.

“I’m excited to join the Pass USMCA Coalition,” said Crowley in a press release. “USMCA is a landmark trade victory for America’s workers. My former colleagues should take action to ratify the agreement quickly.”

The longtime congressman, who was defeated in the June 2018 primary by progressive Democrat Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, has signed on as an honorary co-chairman. After leaving Congress last year, it was announced earlier this week that Crowley would join the law and lobbying firm Squire Patton Boggs.

Pass USMCA is a coalition of business, trade and advocacy groups that is working to promote the passage of Trump’s United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement which will replace the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA).

on the profits of their biologics. IMO his support is another example of why we need to vastly reduce the number of old white men in Congress --- maybe eventually to zero??

So do old and white women. And all races. Of both major parties.

Big Pharma owns sooooooo many politicians. When the ACA was passed, the provision in Medicare that prevents the govt from negotiating drug prices was kept. You know why, don't you? Big Pharma's powerful lobbyists. That's how we got to 1000% markups today.

We need to do something about this. It's important we get a candidate for 2020 who WILL do something about this. Not just lip service.

Trump doesn't have a track record of supporting good or legitimate trade agreements.
