Trump seeks to land blow against media in court fight with CNN

Donald Trump sought Wednesday to land a massive blow in his long-fought battle against the news media, with administration lawyers asserting in court that the president could bar "all reporters" from the White House complex for any reason he sees fit.

The sweeping claim, which came in the first public hearing over CNN's lawsuit to restore correspondent Jim Acosta's White House credentials, could have a dramatic impact on news organizations' access to government officials if it is upheld in court.
CNN argued in its lawsuit filed Tuesday that the White House infringed on Acosta's First Amendment rights by revoking his access in response to a dispute over a press conference

Meanwhile, the Trump campaign is trying to capitalize on the lawsuit. On Wednesday it sent out an emailed survey to potential donors that asked recipients if they think the ban on Acosta was justified. The email's subject line was, "CNN SUES! Help Trump win."

Apparently they are seeking to fatten the Trump piggy bank .

Can't he be removed for violating his oath? No big surprise since he lies all the time, but we expect the servants of the people to live up to what they swore to do.

He knows accountability is rearing it's head on his horizon and he is running scared. He knows nothing except doubling down, bloviating, and lying. He is hoping to escape the consequences this time too. He is asking for money to help him out. Does this mean he doesn't have enough money on his own? Losing your financial assets is part of the consequences, and that could not happen to a more deserving POS.

can you imagine Helen Thomas asking Trump that first question at his press conference? They could make it pay for view.

I can still remember when Helen asked W., so what's the real reason we went into Iraq, was it for oil or for Israel?

was "man enough" (designed to get Trump's goat, not a comment on my opinion of women) to stand before a hostile press and "take it like a man" (Ibid).
