He totally stole the show in the Green Mile, that was during the peak of Tom Hanks' career yet Duncan totally upstaged him which is quite an accomplishment to outperform one of Hollywood's top actors.

I remember when he was nominated for an Oscar for The Green Mile and he stood when they called his name with a big smile.... remember a story about how he used to tell co-workers he was gonna make it in Hollywood and they were like "yeah right...."

Sorry for his friends and family.

Remove animal fat from your diet and then you're only dealing with genetics. Medicine can overcome genetics, but not the combo.

He was one of those actors that made even a bad movie halfway watchable just because he was in it.

And his final soliloquy in The Green Mile is one of the few times I allowed myself to cry full-on man tears at a movie and wasn't ashamed to do it.

God speed you, Mr. Duncan.

Michael Clarke Duncan was great on 2 1/2 men with Charlie Sheen. Just last night was loving how he played Sheen. That man was a specimen.

I wonder if he was lifting heavy and the dietary requirements of anabolic work added to his cardio pulmonary stress.

But given his muscle size and work as a bodyguard, it is possible he had used steroids earlier in his life. It was much more common and accepted back then. The steroids to irreparable damage to your heart and many end up with heart attacks about 50 something. Just look at professional wrestlers. Like I said, this could be a possibility. Lifting heavy alone will not cause heart attacks unless there is an underlying problem. It does not create one.

My dad died at 55 and it is just unfathomable to think how people die so young. I only saw him in The Green Mile, but he deserved at least a nomination for a Golden Globe or Emmy his performance was excellent.

Considering the incredible films he's been in, that is saying a hell of a lot.

And Michael Clarke Duncan was right at the head of that cast with Hanks.

RIP
