Texas GOP delegation revolts

Source: Salon

TAMPA — Tightly controlled political conventions are all about getting the entire party singing from the same songbook, but one of the country’s largest states, rock-red Republican Texas, could upset the chorus as the delegation is preparing to go to war with the Republican National Committee over a rules change that they say could sideline grass-roots activists and concentrate party power in the hands of wealthy donors.

“This is the hill to die for,” Texas delegate Tom Washington, the sssistant treasurer of the state party, told Salon on the convention floor. It’s “disgusting and disturbing,” said at-large alternate delegate Mark Russo from Rockwall, Texas.

The first being the bullshit, Koch-funded PAC "Grassroots Organizations", and the second, being actual grassroots Ron Paul supporters...(note I DIDN'T say that they're not crazy, but if there's a difference between the Greedy Evil and the intentionally misinformed it's that the intentionally misinformed can have their minds changed)...either way, if there's a notable floor fight over ANYTHING, this will be a circus, it will ONLY benefit The President, and it will be fun to watch to boot. I hope everyone has stocked up on popcorn for this one, because this is just the Opening Act. The debates are coming, and when they do Obama is going to destroy what is left of Romney as a Presidential Candidate. =)

I guess that Mit is just following his true destiny and claiming the earth as his personal domain.

Maybe that's why he doesn't put a lot of effort into his talks...
he expects that he's predestined to lead the peons and establish
world dominance.

I wonder if he thinks he will be able to wear ermine if he gets elected?

Ah yes, taking delusion to the next level!!

Now shut up, sit down and do what you're damn well told.

Just who do "you people" think you are?

I felt something like this was going to happen. The local Teabaggers went into overdrive spreading the news. They've been preaching to any and everyone who holds still long enough that they've been sold out.

This is an interesting, if not surprising development. I doubt it'll go anywhere, but it's fun to watch all the local outrage at their sudden realization of just how impotent they really are.
