Attorney Michael Avenatti hints $1.6 million abortion payout was for Trump - not GOP donor

Attorney Michael Avenatti appeared Thursday on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe,” where he gave a wide-ranging interview on the lawsuit against the president and a related criminal investigation of Trump’s personal lawyer Michael Cohen — and he said reporting on the case had missed an important detail.

“So, Mika, you are familiar with the fact that a week ago, Judge (Kimba) Wood ordered Michael Cohen’s attorneys to disclose all of his clients for the last three years,” Avenatti said, “and there were three clients listed — three clients listed. Do you recall which three?” Brzezinski listed Trump, Fox News host Sean Hannity and Republican donor Elliott Broidy — but Avenatti said she was making the same mistake everyone else had.

“No, no, no,” he said. “Mr. Trump, the Trump organization and Sean Hannity. Mr. Broidy was not disclosed in open court as one of Michael Cohen’s clients.” Co-host Joe Scarborough asked the attorney what that meant.

“I think at some point we are going to find out, if in fact, the client in connection with the ($1.6 million) settlement was, in fact, Mr. Broidy. I’m going to leave it at that.”

During the campaign he said he was pro-life/anti-choice while he was courting the fundies. Well now he's got them and he doesn't have to pretend he has morals anymore. We've seen this repeatedly with his treatment of other issues such as adultery, racism, violence, greed, and the constant lies. Why should this be any different? I submit that Cheeto has no scruples about telling women to get an abortion, or paying them to get one.

Before he became a Republican, he was on record as being pro-choice but that was several years ago. I'd have to dig through old news stories to find any references, but I'm sure it's there.

Just sayin'

he's probably in favor of forced abortion when a pregnancy is inconvenient to him.

the statement i made is not all that relevant to this discussion. but i mean he hates women and he hates poor people so taking choice away from those demographics is more than fine by him, plus of course it feeds the evangelical base.

They use abortion as a wedge issue to hold onto power and make money. Their blind followers will accept any excuse their leaders tell them about Trump to continue to support him. Trump is their savior and a virile godly alpha male and was only screwing with every sexy celebrity porn star/model/actress/married woman he could because it was as God intended. The women chose to be with him because who wouldn't want an opportunity to fuck the chosen one of God. God was happy to accept Trump's "angel children" to his kingdom of heaven, or Maralago of the sky. The not so blind followers are probably close to, if not past, their breaking point.

"It happened a long time ago."
"God forgives, so should we."
"He was a different man back then. He's forgiven by the grace of God."

Growing up, I remember hearing this scripture: "It is easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the Kingdom of Heaven." All you need is a gullible flock and an immoral leader and you'll have a religious movement. The religious right doesn't resemble the Christianity I grew up with. We have to defeat them.

That says the judge was told by Cohen's lawyer that the Trump Organization was one of Cohen's 3 clients along with Trump and Hannity or anyone in the MSM confirming what Avenatti said or discrediting it.

Cohen was trump's personal lawyer and the lawyer for the Trump Organization for years so it would make sense that it was stated as a client.
What I don't get is yesterday when Trump said that Cohen did a "tiny, tiny fraction" of his legal work and just mentioned representing/represented him with Stormy Daniels he didn't mention Cohen and his Trump Organization.

The married Broidy did make a public statement confirming that he got the playboy bunny pregnant, she got an abortion and he gave her money.
Also if what Avanetti claims is true it could be the married sleaze bag Hannity who made the 1.6 million settlement.

I am a big fan of Avenattis but can't wrap my head around t this one.

"No, no, no,” he said. “Mr. Trump, the Trump organization and Sean Hannity. Mr. Broidy was not disclosed in open court as one of Michael Cohen’s clients.” Co-host Joe Scarborough asked the attorney what that meant."
