The Times has since obtained a recording from the three-hour October meeting, and published some of the remarks Wednesday from powerful pro football team owners on the topic, including Kraft.
This kneeling, Kraft reportedly said, addressing what he called an elephant in the room.
The problem we have is, we have a president who will use that as fodder to do his mission that I dont feel is in the best interests of America, Kraft reportedly continued. Its divisive and its horrible.<snip>

Still and all, I'm a Patriots fan anyway.

Stories about him as a whole is that he's a very charitable and compassionate man.

But he dealt Garropolo and Brady-all rumors to the contrary-is not either ageless nor invincible. Kaepernick can be had for a song and I want my team to sing it.

It's easier to fire the players than the President.
