He was such a courageous man cursed with the disease that crippled his body. Now he is free after contributing so much to humanity. Now he can fly.

Was in bed listening to M$NBC's simulcast of Brian Williams' "11th Hour" show on my SiriusXM radio when he announced the breaking news.

There will be others but his loss will be profound in the scientific community.

...the loss of perhaps their best and brightest is truly a devastating blow - one more voice of sanity lost in an ever-increasing chorus of insane and baseless arguements against the realities the world now faces and the direction we, as a species, must take to save our planet.

I've been trying to imagine how this news would make me feel for, actually, some years now, and I can say that it makes me even sadder than I imagined I would feel.......this one hurts, a lot.

I’ll miss him on Big Bang as well. He was almost a regular on the cast a few years back, always up for a joke on himself. His enormous brain contained a very healthy sense of humor as well
