Trump wanted gag order lifted on FBI

Source: CNN

Washington (CNN)President Donald Trump made it clear he wanted the gag order lifted on an undercover informant who played a critical role in an FBI investigation into Russian efforts to gain influence in the uranium industry in the United States during the Obama administration, according to two sources familiar with the President's actions.

The President directed his senior staff "to facilitate the Justice Department's full cooperation with Congress to lift the gag order," one of the sources said. The sources said White House counsel Don McGahn then relayed the message to the Justice Department.

Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, publicly called on the Justice Department last week to lift the nondisclosure agreement preventing the informant from speaking to Congress.

One of the sources said that "when Grassley expressed interest in having (the informant) as a witness, the President wanted to ensure he could."

When is this blatant disregard for the standards and norms of government offices going to end??

"The Justice Department has strict rules limiting the White House's involvement in criminal law enforcement matters. Any involvement by the White House counsel in the decision is unusual, particularly because it relates to the President's political opponents."

I do find it terribly worrisome that t-rump can snap his fingers and GOPers say how high. This I would assume is illegal. But GOPers and t-rump think laws and rules shit even the Constitution don't apply to them.

if Russia wants access to Uranium it can only mean one thing: a rapid escalation in the production of nuclear arms. I find that highly doubtful. Besides, why would good old Vlad - Trump's bosom buddy - do something like that without telling Donnie?

Whatever the reason, the GOP is going to ride this hackneyed old horse for as long as their base keeps seething at the name, 'Hillary'. It doesn't matter that it's utter nonsense and has been proved completely false. The truth has never stopped the GOP from any of their other nefarious and nonsensical stories. It never does. The truth and the GOP are polar opposites.

Not until Dump is out of office. Meanwhile, he is doing his best to comply with Russian requests for actions that benefit them.
