Trump Claims to Own Renoir Painting, a Chicago Museum Says Otherwise

Source: Daily Beast

The Art Institute of Chicago said the painting has hung on their walls for almost 100 years.

President Donald Trump may have found himself caught in yet another fib.

Over the years he has told guests of his Trump Tower apartment that he owned the original “Two Sisters (On the Terrace)” by French artist Pierre-Auguste Renoir.

The Art Institute of Chicago has a little problem with that.

According to NBC Chicago, the museum has confirmed they have been in possession of the painting for almost 100 years. Despite a report in a recent podcast that says Trump claims to own the impressionist work of art.

He was suckered by someone as scrupulous as he is. It is hilarious that the biggest cheater is a vulnerable dupe. He will probably find out that none of his kids are actually his. No one can be that damn ugly both inside and out.

. . .

In a recent interview, Trump biographer Tim O'Brien said he was once told by the future president that his artwork was an original.

But the Chicago Institute of Art says the real painting, Two Sisters (on a Terrance) by Pierre-Auguste Renoir, has hung in its gallery for 80 years.

A museum spokesperson said it is "satisfied that our version is real".

. . .

Mr Trump sued O'Brien for $5bn because the author wrote in TrumpNation that rather than being a billionaire, his net worth was actually as low as $150m.

Do you honestly believe this sub-human would own anything real if he can buy a fake for a fraction of the cost and try to pass it off to hanger-owners as the real deal?

which is the actual history of a famous painting and how it made its way into a museum and was recognized as genuinely by the artist him/herself. This painting is too damn famous for Trump to claim otherwise. The museum has the goods on him and can produce the actual provenance. He can't .

SMH. I can't believe he's trying to pull this fast one. How stupid.
