Rep. Rohrabacher says 'rendezvous' being set up with Trump to relay info from WikiLeaks' Assange

Source: MSN/CNN

Republican Rep. Dana Rohrabacher said Monday that a "rendezvous" is being set up between him and President Donald Trump to relay information he received from WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange about the hack of the Democratic National Committee last year.

Rohrabacher, who is considered to be among the most pro-Russia members in Congress, met with Assange earlier this month and claims Assange told him that Russia was not involved in the hacking. Rohrabacher said after the meeting that he wanted to brief Trump on what Assange told him. Appearing on the Sean Hannity radio show Monday afternoon, the California congressman said that meeting was in the process of being set up.

"It is my understanding from other parties who are trying to arrange a rendezvous with myself and the President, it is being arranged for me to give him the firsthand information from (Assange)," Rohrabacher said.

Earlier in the interview, Rohrabacher said evidence he saw painted the Democratic National Committee hack being an "inside job," a claim Rohrabacher has made before.

To put this into perspective, Rohrabacher's own Republican colleagues have had to intervene because Rohrabacher is seen as being too pro-Russian.

Ed Royce stopped Dana Rohrabacher from going to Russia last spring, senior GOP aide says

But a senior House GOP aide who asked not to be identified because he was not authorized to speak to reporters said Thursday it was House Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman Ed Royce (R-Fullerton) who declined Rohrabacher’s request to travel to Moscow shortly after President Trump's inauguration. The aide said such a trip would have been inappropriate.

At the time, Congress was just beginning its investigations into Russian attempts to interfere in the 2016 election.

Rohrabacher's interest in a friendlier relationship with Russia has puzzled the GOP establishment for years. Rohrabacher's spokesman, Ken Grubbs, said Thursday both Southern California congressmen agreed it would be best for Rohrabacher to stay home.

3. So the targets of an investigation, and a supporter, come forward with "evidence"

that they are not guilty. What a shocker! And I REALLY believe them! Someone needs to tell Mueller to stop his investigation right away because Trump is INNOCENT!

Seriously, this is throwing red meat to his supporters. Something for them to hang onto, as the real facts start spilling out, and to keep their rabid support as he goes through an impeachment proceeding.

5. If this is real evidence, why isn't he going to Mueller with it instead of to Trump?

I know these people are all fucking idiots, but I had no idea they were this big of fucking idiots.

I am appalled at my consistent under-estimations of just how unAmerican these fuckwits are.
