Trump veers from hurricane focus to poke Sen. McCaskill

President Trump and his top aides have said he is intently focused on the government response to Hurricane Harvey this weekend, but Trump still took a moment Sunday to poke a Missouri Democratic senator on twitter.

Trump plans to travel to Missouri this week to push for a tax overhaul plan.

While news channels showed images of Houston deluged with floodwaters, Trump posted several tweets Sunday applauding government agencies for good coordination in response to the hurricane. He also tweeted that he would visit Texas when the timing would not be a disruption to the recovery effort.

The "Dem C.M." is apparently a reference to Missouri Sen. Claire McCaskill, who is up for reelection in 2018, and Trump is suggesting Republicans will win that Senate race.
