Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-Ohio) on Sunday slammed the Trump White House, saying it is not doing enough to help American workers.
The White House looks like an executive retreat for Goldman Sachs now, Brown told NBCs Meet the Press.
Brown said President Trump and his administration have not taken actions to help workers. I understand what we need to do for a different trade policy, to raise wages, to help those workers, Brown said.
Brown, who was rumored as a possible vice presidential choice for Hillary Clinton, is seeking reelection in a state Trump won by an overwhelming margin.

Dem senator: Government has 'no business' deporting immigrants who have been in US for years
BY MALLORY SHELBOURNE - 08/27/17 11:37 AM EDT
Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-Ohio) on Sunday criticized the Trump administrations immigration policy, arguing the government has no business deporting immigrants who have been in the United States for years.
Its terrible when we are taking immigrants who have been here 10 or 15 years and working hard, paying their taxes, active in their church, active in communities, parents and we throw them out of this country, Brown told NBCs Meet the Press.
We have no business doing that. That inhumane policy coming from administration is just part and parcel of what hes been for the last seven months, he added. Brown said he wants to work with lawmakers across the aisle like Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) to develop immigration policy, but maintained his position that President Trumps proposed border wall is ludicrous.
"I stand for a strong immigration policy because I want to see us bipartisanly do what we tried to do a few years ago, he said.
