Donald Trump's die-hard supporters show no signs of straying

Source: AP

"Three hundred miles south in a Charleston, West Virginia, shopping mall, Joyce Ash took a moment to ponder Trump after buying a dress Wednesday to wear to the funeral for her husband of 33 years, who died of pancreatic cancer.

The 71-year-old woman summoned nothing but support for the political novice who led her to ditch her lifelong support of Democrats. She recalled sitting up all Election Night to watch Trump clinch the win, and said nothing since made her reconsider her vote.

"Let the president do his job instead of trying to take him out every time you turn around," Ash implored. She didn't follow the back-and-forth over Trump's statements on Charlottesville but saw no reason to question him: "I believe in Donald Trump, I really do. I believe that if they would just give this man a chance, the economy, everything will start going better.""

You start with some initial assumptions and use logic (thinking for yourself) to arrive at conclusions that are consistent with those initial assumptions.

If you start from the premise that white people count and others don't, all the thinking in the world won't make it better.

I other words, they have embraced evil and are following through on it.

Why do people keep asking his detractors to give him a chance, as though every one of us has the power to veto his orders? If I had a choice, I would have stopped giving him a chance long ago. He's president in almost a single-party state. If he can't get things done now, then he can't get things done.

It's lucky for us that Cheeto is such a terrible politician/leader that he can't get anything done.
Because the things he wants to do would be so completely awful for the American people.

So let's sit tight and let Robert Mueller do his job, I believe Trump will be gone in less than a year.

The German people are determined to never let Hitler happen again and they've changed their course to prevent it from ever happening. It's up to us to recognize the signs and do the same in the USA. All the signs are here but we're not seeing them - at least not enough of us are.

Luckily for us Cheeto is going to be out of office soon because of his many crimes he committed before he got elected. He'll pay for those, but not for all the damage he's done to us since he was elected. He'll never pay for that damage.

The term "Good German" applies to Trump supporters only because of their willful ignorance and blind eye to his many faults and errors. I believe this term can be applied to just about everyone in the GOP.

These people have been mentally beaten down by their elders, their bosses, their media channels and the slick-talking economic-winner alphas that run this country.

It's as if they could never conceive a better way to live . . . mostly because that way slightly inconveniences wealthy people. You know, "who they'll BE someday!!"

When Republicans implore everyone to, "Let the president do his job" and beg us all to, "give him a chance", what are they talking about? Don't they read the news... OK, silly presumption on my part, sorry.

Trump can't do his job because he's made no attempt to schmooze up to the GOP leaders in congress and work out a deal (him bigly deal maker, yeah?) to get his promised policies into law. He can't do his job because he's insulted and pissed off so many Republican politicians they won't lift a finger to break any deadlock. Trump can't do his job because he refuses to even acknowledge the Democrats in congress, let alone negotiate with them to get anything done.

Trump has needlessly squandered away whatever chances he had to make his presidency successful, and he has only himself to blame for the stunning incompetence of his entire administration.
