Steve King Toasts Border Patrol For Deporting Protected DREAMer

Source: Talking Points Memo

By ESME CRIBB Published APRIL 19, 2017, 11:29 AM EDT

Rep. Steve King (R-IA) on Tuesday poured a cold one to celebrate U.S. Customs and Border Protection’s deportation of an undocumented immigrant who was legally protected under the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program.

USA Today reported on Wednesday that in February, federal agents deported Manuel Montes despite his active DACA status.

Montes, who is 23 years old, was brought to the United States at age 9. He has lived in the country since and received deportation protections twice under the program, per USA Today. According to the report, federal agents refused to let him retrieve his ID or prove his status and deported Montes within hours of approaching him.

President Donald Trump in January told ABC News that DACA recipients “shouldn’t be very worried.”

I must say I don't know.

Funny thing is there is no animosity directed at the meat packing companies and other businesses that brought mexican workers in to bust unions.

Nope - those are business leaders and civic leaders.

I live about 6 decades east of King.

they were the 4th state to legalize gay marriage, Tom Harkin was a good liberal senator. There was a Dem governor.

It's amazing that an open racist could spew forth such vile hate now as the new normal.

Things have changed a bit. Liberals must have moved away

He tried to sound reasonable later in the campaign and started downplaying what he'd do, just to trick people into thinking he was a normal caring person. Turns out he's totally abnormal and really hates all brown people and has not one speck of caring in that huge bag of bulging fat he calls a body. He didn't give a shit about the children in Syria or he'd have cared about them previously. Before he said even their babies were terrorists. The fake bombing did absolutely noting to deter Syria and was just a false flag operation designed by Pootie to take the heat off his and drumpfs treachery.

I'd wish that tomorrow morning Steve King would wake up to find that his skin turned a lovely shade of coffee with a bit of milk stirred in. Let his hair turn black. Let his English sound musical, as though English is not his first language. But let his eyes stay blue, as a reminder.

And then let him see what life is like.

"Montes said he couldn't understand anything he was signing and was not given any copies. Officers walked him to the U.S.-Mexico border and released him into Mexicali."

Was he offered a chance to call a lawyer? Why the hell wouldn't they let him get his ID? WTF?
