Lindsey Graham: 'I am Begging the President' to Stop Saying Millions of People Voted Illegally

Source: Mediaite

It was reported last night that President Donald Trump revived an unsubstantiated and unproven claim that millions of people illegally voted in the presidential election. He did this during a meeting with Congressional leaders, spending the first ten minutes of the meeting rehashing the campaign and using the claim as a way to prove he didnt legitimately lose the national popular vote.

In response to Trump bringing this back up while speaking to members of Congress, Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) delivered a statement begging POTUS to with share information he has to back his comments or stop making these remarks.

Frank Thorp V
?@frankthorp

Sen Graham (R-SC) really wants Pres Trump to stop taking about inaccurate claims of millions of illegal voters voting in the #2016 election:

Following reports of his comments, the New York Times [link:http://www.mediaite.com/online/new-york-times-ratchets-up-war-with-trump-by-once-again-calling-out-his-lies/ratcheted up] its war with Trump by stating that he lied in its headline. Meanwhile, the Washington Post [link:https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/fact-checker/wp/2017/01/24/recidivism-watch-trumps-claim-that-3-5-million-people-voted-illegally-in-the-election/?utm_term.2a1e0ce44c70fact-checked him again], placing him on their Recidivism Watch for resurrecting the false claim.

If Trump keeps pushing this meme - there will be a call for an investigation - and a investigation could lead to finding out how the Repugs actually stole the election. Remember - the only way Repugs win is by cheating.

Trump shooting his mouth off could cause us to find out what is behind the Repug curtain.

Undermining the legitimacy of American elections is the goal.

Remember when bin Laden discussed how the collapse of the Twin Towers surprised them - just hitting the buildings was the goal?

That's how Putin sees Mr. Precedent, a little lagniappe in the cyberwar. A "useful idiot" as they say.

Mad King Donald in his Golden Tower doesn't know where he is in reality. He has no idea how elective office works.

I can hardly wait until he gets some members of Congress in the Oval Office and tries to fire them. He'll be beside himself when that fails to work.

What will be really interesting to watch is Benedict Donald firing his Cabinet members and other appointees. He can fire them. It'll make Nixon's Saturday Night Massacre look like a picnic.

"Get to know your him/her for at least two years before you marry." In that amt. of time and she's right IMO, problems crop up and they are either solved or not and if not, do not marry.

What happened here is WE saw this was a no-good candidate/husband-to-be but the RW was dazzled with his narcissist take charge personality. The two year period is now about over and it seems no one but the crazies wants this marriage now so all we can do is impeach sooner rather than later.

This will cause him to double down.

I'm of two minds here. If Trump keeps insisting that this happened, but because he won doesnt' feel it needs to be investigated, Dems should push every day for an investigation. And this does help show that Trump is just batshit crazy - I think everyone but his 30% Deplorables is finally understanding this.

Trump is pathologically incapable of keeping his mouth shut about his crimes and cheating. He is also a classic projector:
Psychological projection also known as blame shifting is a theory in psychology in which humans defend themselves against unpleasant impulses by denying their existence in themselves, while attributing them to others. (Lyin' Ted, Crooked Hillary, Hillary is sick, pay-to-play, etc).

He kept telling us it was rigged, and it WAS. In his favor.

There WAS cheating- on the GOP's part.

He can't let it go because even with Russia, GOP dirty tricks, voter suppression and everything else they did- Hillary still won. She won the popular vote by 3 million, and HE KNOWS she would have won the EC vote except for all the dirty tricks, which I happen to believe includes hacking into voting machines.

Also remember his little slip the other night about how next time "they'd win the old-fashioned way".

Russia just wants chaos and to undermine our belief in our voting system. But Trump isn't doing that. He is trying to tell you something. Listen to him.

But that is not due to "illegal voting"; it's due to the hacking and manipulation by a foreign power, manipulation by the Republican FBI director, and probably criminal activity (or at least collision with the aforementioned criminals) by the GOP in many areas.

A sow's ear is a sow's ear. Even his policies that Democrats like come with a monstrous caveat:
Trumpy cannot fathom the law of unintended consequences. He doesn't think ahead. He only thinks about HIS head. Example: his idiotic and deadly musings on re-invading Iraq to steal the oil. Those are the thoughts of a normal 9 year-old. That's why 9 year-olds aren't expected to think globally. They can't. And neither can Trumpy.
