The Nebraska Democratic Party is targeting GOP U.S. Senate hopeful Deb Fischer in a new television ad that portrays her family's grazing leases on federal land as a welfare handout.
Democratic Party Chairman-elect Vince Powers on Monday unveiled a new statewide television ad that accuses Fischer of benefiting from a deal that less than 1 percent of Nebraska ranchers receive.

My only question: Was she drug tested prior to receiving welfare?

I know that politics is a contact sport, but it makes us look like prize hypocrites if we resrt to dirty politics.

(7,404 posts)BLM charges $1.35 per month per adult head of cattle so the 7 month cost per head is $9.45 and that is dirt cheap. It indicates Fischer is grazing 500 head of cattle. The rate was established in 1986. The issue looks legitimate.

(22,143 posts)This is life and death now. By hook or by crook. When was the last time they were fair or barred any holds? If we have to lie cheat or steal to get people to vote for their own interests, then we must.
If you play by the rules and your opponent will do anything, you'll never win.
I hate that it's this way but it is this way.

(16,251 posts)If welfare and tax = bad, then tie their hypocritical ships to it. Play it like it is. This is a hand out, welfare, entitlement for someone...and isn't that all bad stuff to these nuts? We need more Dems in Congress and in office. If this is what it takes, go for it.
