Series of earthquakes shakes California-Mexico border region

A series of moderate earthquakes has hit the California-Mexico border over the last 12 hours.

The swarm began with a magnitude 4.7 temblor Saturday night near the Mexican town of Guadalupe Victoria, which is 32 mile southeast of Mexicali.

It was followed by more than a dozen other quakes including a 4.1, 3.6 and 3.5 magnitude.

Thousands of small quakes.

Here's hoping it's releasing strain, and not building up to a huge slippage.
