Trump Responds to Obama: POTUS ‘Is Unfit’ and Clinton ‘Is Equally Unfit’

Source: Mediaite

The GOP nominee threw the commander-in-chief's words right back at him.

by Sam Reisman | 1:51 pm, August 2nd, 2016

Donald Trump responded Tuesday afternoon to the president’s remarks at a presser, in which he called the GOP nominee “woefully unfit” to lead the nation.

In a statement attributed to Trump himself, the candidate threw the commander-in-chief’s words right back at him. He said that Obama “is the one who is unfit to be President and Hillary Clinton is equally unfit.”

Trump’s statement reads in full:

“President Obama has been a failed leader who along with Secretary of State Clinton created a foreign policy that has destabilized the world and made it an unsafe place. He is the one who is unfit to be President and Hillary Clinton is equally unfit.

Obama-Clinton have single-handedly destabilized the Middle East, handed Iraq, Libya and Syria to ISIS, and allowed our personnel to be slaughtered at Benghazi. Then they put Iran on the path to nuclear weapons. Then they allowed dozens of veterans to die waiting for medical care that never came. Hillary Clinton put the whole country at risk with her illegal email server, deleted evidence of her crime, and lied repeatedly about her conduct which endangered us all. They released criminal aliens into our country who killed one innocent American after another — like Sarah Root and Kate Steinle — and have repeatedly admitted migrants later implicated in terrorism. They have produced the worst recovery since the Great Depression. They have shipped millions of our best jobs overseas to appease their global special interests. They have betrayed our security and our workers, and Hillary Clinton has proven herself unfit to serve in any government office.

She is reckless with her emails, reckless with regime change, and reckless with American lives. Our nation has been humiliated abroad and compromised by radical Islam brought onto our shores. We need change now.” – Donald J. Trump

This guy proves everyone's point in his personal attacks.

The Khans asked about him reading the constitution and his rebuttal proved that he either has not or does not understand it. So now those who call him are incompetent meet remarks that prove he is not.

I am telling all of you right now, this masterful President, who knows his job so damned well that nothing under his direct control has gone astray of the law in seven glorious years, would not have stepped into this race in this manner unless it was a matter of pressing national security.

Now the entire focus of the media and the federal government is being turned against Donald Trump, because he is a patsy for the Russians, because he did violate the terms of the legally binding agreements he signed in order to get a Presidential Daily Briefing, and because he is now known to be a national security risk.

Not a bullshit batted-around-in-the-press-for-a-year teapot tempest of a security risk, but a clear and present danger that must be stopped.

Trump is being walked out now so that we don't have to frog-march him out, before he can destroy this nation. That is why the President is directly appealing to the leadership of Trump's own party to get him out. And worse still, the first fuckin' thing Trump did in response is send his accomplices out and tell them to clean their guns.

The pressure is going to continue to mount against him until he decides that the better "deal," for which Trump always fishes, is to leave now rather than go up the river entirely. But if he doesn't, he's going down one way or the other, with or without the help of the Republican Party, and they have to decide right now whether or not they are going to land on the correct side of the law--for once--or move into direct opposition to the federal government as their spiritual forebears the Confederates did.

Saudi bases? Something else? And what do they do if that happens? Can they arrest a presidential candidate for leaking secrets?

Three things stand out to me so far.

* It was the Voice of America that first drew my attention to the fact that the Trump campaign deliberately intervened in the Republican platform and rebuilt it in favor of the Russians. Let's just say that the VOA has always had a "special take" on things and so I considered it significant that they, in combination with the Washington Post, took a lead in this reporting.

http://www.voanews.com/content/proposed-gop-stance-on-ukraine-sparks-controversy/3429297.html

(Edit: And what do you know? This story just dropped like an anvil: http://www.democraticunderground.com/10141540180 )

* The Saudi flap could be the most serious of all, or a completely erroneous flub on Trump's part. I cannot tell which. But either way, there is a damned whirlpool somewhere in the Indian Ocean, where Osama bin Laden spins....

* The fleeting news of a "reverse hack" on the Russians may also be extremely important. If the Clinton campaign's messages were held out as bait and used to trace the source of the hackers, and then to bust 'em open and find out who they were working with, well.... That would put us in a position to know that Donald Trump was working with the Russians, if he was, wouldn't it?

Those last two things seem really important to me. Both of them happened after Trump broke the Logan Act and asked the Russians to commit espionage for him, when he was surely being watched closely (guess who ain't going to accept "sarcasm" as a defense?). And the President is in an excellent position to know for sure if either or both of them are true.

It sure as hell looks to me as if the President knows something. And like I said, he just gave a fair warning call to Republican leadership, something that you don't give in mere politics.

From what I can tell, if he gets into the White House, Trump is free and clear. He can pardon himself, grant himself any security clearance they try to deny him, and so on. The Republican Congress won't impeach him, or at least can't be fully relied upon to do it.

So you have to get him out before the election, and as a token of good faith to your opposition, you do it now and give them exactly what they want, which is a way to get rid of Trump without picking up a nasty case of Ted Cruz. That's covered under Rule 9 of the Republican Party rules, which allows the Committee to pick Trump's successor without another convention.

There is a quote attributed to (but not actually by) Sun Tzu which spells out the solution rather nicely in this particular case: "build your opponent a golden bridge to retreat across." In this case, I think it applies perfectly to gold-plated asshole Donald Trump. Place intense public and private pressure on him from all quarters. Focus the issue on something other than the security breaches. Invite the opportunity for him to seize the initiative, take his toys, and leave. If he does, the national security threat is largely solved and charges may not even be necessary, certainly not necessary to discuss as publicly as this.

But fortunately, I am known to be batshit fuckin' crazy, as my journal here at DU attests, so nobody will believe me if I am correct.

Actually I fell bad for babies typing that. They aren't 98% liars like Drumpf, they tell the truth with their cries. He lies whether he's being bombastic or lying which seem to be his only oratory styles.

The "failed" president's numbers look great around the world (in other polls, he's the top ranked leader in terms of +30 favorability)

And here's how he hatches up to his competition:

That was before he made a jackass of himself and helped give Hillary a big convention bump.

Does this guy have nothing original to say at all? He is a man of few words. Very few words. "Unfit", "failure", "crooked", "liar", etc. He just keeps using the same words over and over whether they apply or not. He's such a moron.

In a singular way.

If Trump were sane he would have to be taking this to heart and be rethinking his basic approach. Instead he has elevated this to a fever pitch. This borders on sedition.
