NEWARK, N.J. (AP) A last-ditch attempt by a person connected to the 2013 George Washington Bridge lane-closing scandal to delay the release of a list of unindicted co-conspirators has kept from public view a piece of information that is expected to reverberate in several quarters if it is released.

(2,419 posts)the list will contain the names of any number of his close aides but not the great bloviator himself. These are people who participated in planning the lane closures but either did not make an overt act in furtherance of the conspiracy (a low bar, but a legal necessity) or against whom there is insufficient evidence to support a finding of guilt beyond a reasonable doubt. There is a 2nd list of names of people who had knowledge that the conspiracy was taking but did not join in nor did they make any effort to stop it. Now THAT list may indeed have the name Christopher J. Christie prominently contained therein.
