Chris Christie endorses Donald Trump

Source: CNN Politics

(CNN)New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie offered a surprise endorsement to Donald Trump, saying there is no one better prepared to lead the country in the Republican 2016 race.

"I am proud to be here to endorse Donald Trump for president of the United States," the New Jersey Republican told reporters at a press conference in Texas.

"The best person to beat Hillary Clinton on that state last night is undoubtedly Donald Trump," Christie added.

Trump and Christie appeared on stage together the day after a rough debate performance where the real estate mogul faced off against Sens. Marco Rubio and Ted Cruz.

not because of Christie per se. But when a large, financially important state's gov says, "He da man," that will leave a mark.

Yet again. ONCE AGAIN. Even after an evening of attacks by Rubio and Crud, he again changes the conversation. It is again about himself, and yet again, he gets to portray himself as a winner.

He is sucking the air out of any coverage of Rubio or Cruz, even Hillary.

While he is a thug, he also is a TV personality who knows how to manipulate the press with an incredible touch.

The bridge stuff is out, he had been called out for not showing up when they were having a state of emergency, and as said many times, he's seen as a clown now. He has to suck it up to whom ever he sees as the potential winner for any future in politics.

I think he's going for attorney general and then take a ride on the DC to Boardroom private jet.

Obviously Trump has promised VP Cabinet or some other position....the 2 clowns deserve each other. i would honestly vote for %20 of trump voters over the man himself if i was a republican. some one smart tell me how much money a 1 million dollar investment in the stock market would have cultivated in the 30 + years, most of the mans money came from NBC for a role in a TV show..

I doubt that he even knows what the word "diplomacy" means. To think of him being involved in delicate multinational negotiations about something like the environmental agreement last year boggles the mind. His simplistic black-and-white worldview (white people good; Mexicans bad, etc.) is too frightening to contemplate. For one, does he REALLY think that the Mexican government will pay for the wall that he said will now be 10 feet higher after Vicente Fox's statement? Trump is used to yes men, but he won't necessarily find those in either Congress or on the world stage.

Which is the last thing we need from any elected official, and he has set the bar so low that the others seem to be responding in kind. If President Obama, whose temperament continues to impress and amaze me, is getting such obstruction from this miserable Congress, what would happen if they faced the likes of Trump, let alone on the world stage???

I probably already told you, but I went to the USSR with my grandmother in 1986 because she was part of a visiting peace group. At that time, there were delicate negotiations between Gorbachev and Reagan and the Russian people I spoke with were pretty scared of Reagan, thought he was being way too tough with Gorbachev who was trying to institute some reforms. With Putin, who is a KGB throwback, I can't imagine what could happen if we elected any Republican, let alone a bully loudmouth like Trump!
