(67,782 posts)....I never saw a prosecutor so disgusted and outraged and outspoken as this guy. It's unbelievable and, despite the situation, very refreshing.

(17,862 posts)Such inflammatory statements are going to make it difficult to seat a jury. It may even force the prosecutor to not be involved in the case. Everyone deserves the right to a fair trial.
As for the police witnesses who lied, they should be fired and prosecuted as well.

(29,876 posts)The University of Cincinnati's Uptown and Medical campus offices closed at 11 a.m., the school said. The closure does not include the Blue Ash and Clermont campuses or UC Medical Center.
"This decision is made with an abundance of caution in anticipation of todays announcement of the Hamilton County grand jurys decision regarding the July 19 officer-involved shooting of Samuel Dubose and the release of the officers body camera video. We realize this is a challenging time for our university community," the school said in an email.
Several Ohio State Highway Patrol vehicles arrived on campus shortly before it closed, and UC police officers barricaded some streets leading into campus.
Several restaurants near campus closed as well.

(16,230 posts)Maybe they can slow it down and examine it frame by frame to sort it out. Maybe they've already done that.

(2,642 posts)Regardless of what you believe, they are not security guards.
They have to go through the same training via state agencies as local police and sherriffs.

We need to keep the pressure on.

(53,771 posts)This is one dumb cop. He had his body cam on and still tried to lie his way out of shooting the guy's face off.
I believe after being shot the dead man's foot came off the brakes.
Many cops haven't caught on yet that there are camera's everywhere now and they can't get away with the murders of POC as easily as in the past.

(2,122 posts)Dubose says at about 1:17 "..but it's not illegal to have no front license in Pennsylvania" and the officer, wrongly, "Yes it is". If that was his "justification" for the stop, then he had no probable cause for the stop in the first place.
