Anti-abortion hackers attack Planned Parenthood, release databases, employee data
Source: daily dot
Planned Parenthood has been hacked.
Late Sunday night, a group of hackers who oppose the healthcare nonprofit's abortion practices released Planned Parenthood's website databases as well as names and email addresses of the organization's employees.
The attack on Planned Parenthood follows a storm of controversy over the organization. Anti-abortion activists sparked the uproar earlier this month with the release of an edited video showing a Planned Parenthood director discussing the donation of fetus organs and tissue to medical research facilities, a legal but highly controversial practice.
One of the hackers, who goes by the pseudonym E, told the Daily Dot that the cyberattack was politically motivated.

(53,235 posts)There appears to be a planned full out assault on this organization. This cannot be tolerated and these attackers cannot be allowed to win. These hackers need to be apprehended and prosecuted.

(2,012 posts)to give the right-to-lifers the benefit of the doubt, thinking that if they truly believe they are "Christian" or taking the moral high ground they would at least work with us to support women's and children's healthcare, family planning, sex education and contraception, which would decrease abortions.
However for a long time it has been clear that these people will go to any lengths, including violence, to destroy any group which is working to give women and families the right to choose the best medical and health care for themselves and to improve born children's lives. They have no regard for the parents who want to bring children into a world where they will be loved, educated, given health care, and be kept out of prisons, with support from the whole community.
They are not just "anti-abortion", they are anti-women, anti-children, anti-contraception, anti-sex, and immoral.

(1,859 posts)2 months ago and lost the baby. What did the right to lifers post on our local new site? They kept posting things like "good, one less welfare recipient" etc. They were massively racists and pro the baby being dead. Then they went right back to posting against abortion and throwing in Christianity and how our country was going down because we lost it, on the next article about an abortion law being struck down in another state.

(14,552 posts)Cyber terrorism. The hacker admitted it. Will the FBI have the guts to go after this person with as much zeal as they did the guy who hacked Palin's e-mail. Or will this fall the same way the rash of church burnings did last month? Which is to say, no leads, no proof.

Hackers are simply getting into everything. There just doesn't seem to be anyway to stop them.
