Chileans Invent a Test that Detects the Cause of High Blood Pressure
July 23 14:02 2015
After 15 years of investigation, a group of Chilean researchers finally created a test that can accurately determine individual causes of hypertension.
SANTIAGO For the first time, Chile will have a test that pinpoints the origin of hypertension, otherwise known as high blood pressure, in individuals.
According to La Tercera, a group of researchers from Universidad Católica and Instituto Milenio de Inmunología e Inmunoterapia, or IMII, (Institute of Milennium Immunology and Immunotherapy), has finally created a test to discover the cause of hypertension after 15 years of research.
The test is a thorough examination of blood samples that can determine levels of certain hormones related to hypertension and conclude their origin.
The test has been implemented thanks to the acquisition of a high-tech computer called, Instrumento de Cromatografía líquida con espectrometría de masas en tandem LC-MS/MS (Instrument of liquid chromatography with mass spectrometry in tandem).
The last National Health Survey, published in 2010, noted that 27 percent of Chilean adults and 13 percent of Chilean children have high blood pressure, but the source of the condition was not certain.

In my experience, Catholic dogmas/bishops and "natural law" doctrines usually cause high blood pressure.

Can it tell that the sample came from an obese middle aged smoker who watches Fox 24/7 while eating extra butter popcorn with extra salt and yelling at the kids and wife all at once?
Thanks for the info Judi Lynn! I have high BP.
and mine has been all over the place this last 3 weeks or so. I had a bad case of bronchits and ever since my blood pressure has been all over the place. 190s over 130s to 100 over 60s. Doctor put me on cilostazol to dilate my blood vessels (peripheral neuropathy) is the only thing that was done different from meds for the bronchitis. The cilostazol made my head hurt like I've been hit right between the eyes with a two pound hammer as hard as one can swing it so I only took one of them and will not take another.
