BROKEN ARROW, Okla. (AP) – Police in eastern Oklahoma say five people have been found dead and two teenagers were taken into custody.

In a news release, Broken Arrow police Sgt. Thomas Cooper says officers were called to an address Wednesday night around 11:30 p.m. for an unknown problem.

Police in Oklahoma say five members of a family were found stabbed to death in their Tulsa-area home and that two teenage relatives are in custody.

That since this does not fit "The Narrative" it is ho-hum, just five people murdered.

Now if it was an idiot shooting a dog- that would generate some attention.

Only mass murders committed with a gun seem to matter to some here

The Chattanooga, TN and the Charleston, SC shootings both had multiple threads, in multiple forums that remained active for over a week.

This tragedy, committed with a knife or knives, has all of 2 threads with less then 20 posts between them.

So where is the outrage for the 5 people murdered with the a knife? Or does that outrage only occur when a gun is involved?

Talk about missing the point.

Perhaps people discuss multiple gun deaths to a greater degree

BECAUSE THEY ARE A MUCH GREATER PROBLEM.

I get the outrage when one occurs. There's something uniquely horrifying about a multiple killing.

But the fact remains that mass murders represent a tiny, tiny fraction of all murders. Common, one-at-a-time murders are where our horrific, humiliating death toll comes from...and they get a fraction of the media attention, a fraction of the "mindshare." This strikes me as ridiculous, at least when it comes to formulating policy to reduce the number of murders in this country.

Gun killings of two or three have become so common they don't always make the headlines.
