Here is the writeup in the Houston paper http://www.chron.com/news/houston-texas/texas/article/Supreme-Court-pauses-Texas-anti-abortion-law-6356286.php

For the second time, the U.S. Supreme Court has put tough Texas anti-abortion law House Bill 2 on hold pending a constitutional challenge.

The justices on Monday ordered the law to not take effect at least until they decide whether to consider whether it creates an undue burden for Texas women seeking abortions.

The move protects nearly a dozen abortion clinics across the state that had been preparing to close Wednesday due to a ruling in support of the law by a New Orleans-based federal appeals court.

Those clinics will now remain open at least until the fall.
