Sign the petition to protect Social Security

and Medicare from Republican attacks. From MoveOn

Social Security and Medicare are lifesaving programs that should be strengthened, not cut. Congress must raise the debt ceiling to protect workers and our economy, without slashing the Social Security and Medicare programs that millions of Americans depend on.

Call me a sceptic, in my experience I've not seen where they make any impact at all, except that soon after I sign, I start getting flooded with emails asking me for money.
No thanks.

And nothing more. No substantive change was ever initiated or effected via an internet petition.

If you feel strongly about this issue, write or call (don’t email) your elected representatives.

I signed the petition. Thank you for starting it, if you aren’t just sharing it. If you are then thank you for sharing it! I have a petition on my Political news site has a petition posted for the Governor of Pennsylvania to switch to renewable energy and save residents money on their electric bills. In case anyone would like to sign. It’s in the main newsfeed [link:https://progressivenewz.org|

that OP was from over a year ago? The petition was sent long ago.

While I do appreciate your optimism, I also advise to never say, "Never." Or NOBODY." Cause there's always someone out there who will say, 'Yeah? Well, hold my beer."
