to lay the groundwork for either Trump firing him and/or cast doubt on the legitimacy of any charges that may arise from Mueller's investigation against him or members of his family. They're not going to go file anything in Court that might expose the fact that their claims are frivolous/unfounded (not that that would matter to his brain-dead supporters but it still helps to muddy the waters to just shout and throw dirt around).

Which law? Got them already. The people who say that can't begin to think of a single law that this violates.

If they toss a dart, ask them how it breaks that law.
