Legal Terms You Need To Know in The Age Of Trump
By now we are sure you all saw one of Donald Trump’s judicial nominees fail a perfunctory Law 101 questioning from Senator John Kennedy this week. As experts in the legal system, primarily as the defendant, we thought we should share with you our knowledge of common legal terms in the event you, too, are nominated by President Trump.

Activist judge — one who doesn’t believe in banning certain religious adherents from traveling to the US.
Acquittal — a pardon.
Appeal — something administration lawyers do when justice prevails.
appellee — something that tastes like an apple.
attorney-client privilege — protections afforded the confidentiality of attorneys and their clients. Also extended to rich, douchey fathers and sons.
bad faith — religious belief wherein Roy Moore’s pedophilia was biblically justified and forgiven.
collusion — fake news.
common law — things that Donald Trump and his supporters think makes so much common sense, they decide it’s the law. (“Men don’t marry men, and giving rich people lots of money means it trickles down on us. Think about it, libtard. It’s just common law.”)
constitutional crisis — days ending in “y” between 1/20/17 and 1/20/21.
corporate plaintiff — person or persons who deserve a good verdict and a tax cut.
cruel and unusual — Ted Cruz.
