Conservative Commentator Erick Erickson Leaving Fox News: ‘Neither Needed Nor Useful’

The Resurgent’s Erick Erickson, a conservative commentator who has been a Fox News contributor since 2013, is leaving the network, according to Politico’s Jake Sherman.

Erickson, whose commentary has been both fiercely critical of President Donald Trump and his opponents, said he is leaving the network because his views don’t fit into any typical box.

Erickson joined Fox News in 2013 after spending three years as a political commentator for CNN — but has not appeared on Rupert Murdoch’s network in some time.

The conservative’s primary outlet is The Resurgent, a website he launched in 2016, which pairs political commentary with a religious outlook. He’s been known for his impassioned condemnations of Trump — as well as his absolutely scorching hot takes.

7. He's another one like Charlie Sykes @ MSNBC.

Sykes had a long running, ultra-right wing radio show on WTMJ in Milwaukee where he viciously attacked any caller who disagreed with him and went to great lengths to humiliate and bully them. He was a force of evil in Wisconsin for years (1993 to 2016). He was the editor of a right wing rag called Right Wisconsin, the bible of the repukes in Wisco, until July of this year.

His former comrades call him a "Judas goat" among other things and believe he is playing a role for the ca$h. It's hard to believe someone like him could suddenly change so dramatically. I really don't trust him at all. He's another one at the ground floor of the building of this evil empire, starting out as a Bill and Hillary Clinton, mad dog, foaming at the mouth hater way back in 1993.
