Twenty-nine Ohio National Guardsmen fired approximately 67 rounds over a period of 13 seconds, killing four students and wounding nine others. Weapons used were M1 Garand rifle, M1911 pistol and 12-gauge shotguns.

In fact, just now listening to CSN&Y sing 'Ohio', I again felt the tightness of grief in my throat.

I was the drummer in a small band and this song was in one of our sets. Often I'd have tears down my cheeks when we sang this verse:

Should have been done long ago

Found her dead on the ground?
