New Cabinet Post Unveiled by Trump Administration
While it's rare for new positions to occur in the President's Cabinet, Donald J. Trump has created a new office in his own Cabinet. The newly created Department of Irony was formed to deal with the unintentional consequences of presidential actions. When those actions result in ironic connections to previous actions, the new department will move swiftly to counter public ridicule and amusement.
This new post came on the heels of the obvious irony of Trump's calling for the hacking of his opponent, Hillary Clinton's, emails during the Presidential campaign. Now, the Trump administration is complaining about their own transition team's emails being obtained by Robert Mueller, who is investigating various possible misdeeds of the President's own campaign, transition team, and possible collusion with Russia during the campaign.
Nobody has been named officially to fill the newly created office of Secretary of Irony, but names being mentioned include former Governor Christie of New Jersey and Rudy Giuliani. Both men are intimately familiar with ironic situations during their own careers. Another name being mentioned is Stephen K. Bannon, formerly a prominent member of the Trump team. Also an expert on ironic situations and their aftermaths, he may return to the Administration.

Irony's funny, but this particular situation is frightening, I think.
