http://hamptonroads.com/2012/07/navys-green-energy-sources-fuel-controversyI had a long phone conversation with a good friend I went to high school with who is one of the naval officers in charge of these tests....he is disappointed in the republicans response, as he added once the conversion to the bio-standard fuel mix is implemented the price will actually drop below the $3.60 a gallon average....first words out of my friends mouth were "all of these senators are bought and paid for by oil companies...."

(2,952 posts)....in the house for this....the tests so far have been positive with both the jet fuel and engine fuel for the warships. They're still tweaking the mixtures, but he's generally excited about the direction the tests are taking....

(7,113 posts)The NAVAIR Public Affairs Office had been developing tons of video clips demonstrating that the Navy -- all the way to the top brass -- thought biofuel offered numerous advantages. They seemed to quit making the videos, though, once the congressional GOP began making a stink. Check out the clips below:

(2,952 posts)Well....logistics specialist/storekeeper at any rate....It's like being the auto parts guy with better insurance....
These congresscritters know that once implemented the cost will drop....they remind me of the opponents of the x-plane or space projects back in the late 50's and early 60's...no future vision whatsoever....
