(12,821 posts)For any morans reading this: the wind is always blowing somewhere -- especially during the daytime when electricity needs are higher -- and the interconnected grid picks up the slack whenever/wherever the wind is intermittent. Is it a challenge? Sure, but electricity markets are developing ways to handle it.

Batteries? Not yet economic by comparison.
