Hit the above 2 links, and you can see that in some cases, there has been a change. The top link, is about Michael Slager's sentence of 19 to 24 years in jail for killing Walter Scott. The cop, Slager, thought he could get away with killing Scott, with a few fixes at the time of the shooting. The video associated with Slager's shooting of Scott running away from the cop, went viral, after the New York Times published it.

The bottom link is about Trevor King, an Atlanta cop, being convicted by a jury yesterday for beating up someone because he thought that person had stolen a tomato.

Without cameras everywhere, these two vicious, rotten cops would have gotten away with their crimes. At the time, I am sure the cops thought they would. But a hand held camera in one case, and the cameras that are hanging in stores to observe customers and employees in another, convicted these rotten cops. Hand held cameras are everywhere, and they are relatively cheap. People carry them around, because they are also telephones. Stores put them up everywhere to prevent thievery and catch the thieves.

Anyone or any organization that is against the requirement of police to have these cameras on their person, going all the time, in the cars, going all the time, is in favor of police murder of innocent people. These two instances prove what has been known for decades. Police often kill and hurt for reasons other then the "law" It is all about that cop's own law, that he makes up at the time. The juries have spoken and the cops have been convicted. Again...

Anyone against these cameras, and the requirements that they must be on while the police cars are going, and the cops are on duty, all the time... is in favor of police murder and injuring of innocent persons. These videos prove that. For the first time ever, police are being held accountable for their violence against people. This is something I thought could never happen. It has happened. Times have changed for police and their potential victims. Because of this technology advance, people are safer than they were. And a cop named Michael Slager faces 20 years in jail for killing an innocent person.

One additional idea needs to be added. Because of these cameras, that police carry, people cary, and are in businesses, the training of new officers will be different. For the first time potential officers will be told basically, if you do something horribly wrong, like shoot someone unnecessarily, there often will be evidence against that action. There was never evidence against what the police officer said and did. It was the officer's word verses the citizen. These cameras create another voice. And most of the time, the cameras speak the truth, when the officer lies.

Buy saying anyone who disagrees is in favor of murder is a tad much.

Yes, this may be expensive. But I do not think that is a valid argument. The expense is worth it. Police have been abusing their power for a very long time. This invention can prevent that abuse. A cop might think, just for a moment, this is being recorded, maybe that action is not necessary. Of course, if the cop's life is in danger, then it is different. But in both of these cases, the cop's life, was not in danger

...One case a person was running away from the cop
...The second, it was about a stolen tomato

In both cases, the policemen tried to lie about what happen and create stories that covered their actions. People against the use of these inventions to stop police from doing what they have always done..are in a way..in favor of .."police murder" ..or" police without any restraint."

In large cities and small police have always gotten away with almost any use of violence. (almost always in the name..of self protection, as Slager used in his defense) Those opposed to these inventions, are indeed in favor of the old system...where police almost always got away with .."murder"...Why? It was the policeman's word against the person charged with the crime. Who was the jury to believe? Most of the time, everyone believed the police. Now, there is proof as to who is lying and who is telling the truth. Now we are seeing that police lie a lot and for the first time, there is "proof" of their lies..

and they almost always lie to protect fellow gang members, I mean other cops.

Professional Courtesy-is what they call it. At least now they have to think twice about whether there might be film at 11 that shows the truth and they could loose their job and be charge if a film pops up.
