Who are the 19 GOP Senators?

For impeachment to be a realistic expectation, at least 19 GOP Senators and ALL of the Democrats must vote to convict. That assumes that the House can find 24 Republican patriots to vote for the indictment (impeachment).

After seeing the partisan solidarity of the last nine years, I have trouble imagining defections on that scale.

The donors simply will not allow it.

Another reason to GOTV for 2018. This new tax bill is another reason. See also:

Trump must be impeached. Not having enough republican Senators to vote to remove Trump is no excuse for the house not to impeach. At the very least after impeaching Trump Democrats could force republican Senators to either impeach him or go on record defending a criminal that committed treason against the United States with their vote.

There's a fair chance they'd impeach out of fear for their own seats. That's what happened under Nixon. People talk now about how Republicans were more honorable back then, but they delayed back then too until the evidence was too clear to avoid.

If concrete evidence arises from the Mueller investigation, the "fair and balanced" Goebles News Network will lie, deny, distort, rinse, repeat......until the truth is a distant memory.

The voters will believe what they want to believe. They are about to send a child mollester to the Senate. They love winning SO much.

Remember.....over half of them believe LITERALLY that a man/God who walked the Earth 2,000 years ago rose from the dead, and will return soon to rapture true believers to heaven while they gleefully look back to sneer and laugh at the heretics, Jews, gays, libruls, and Democrats as they burn.

The voters ARE NOT critical thinkers. Give 'em a red MAGA hat, tell them how smart they are as you pick their pockets and mollest their children, and they will Give you their vote.

For most of the red state Republicans, accountability to voters is now a fairy tale.

But the fact the orange asshat is only polling around 35 gives me hope that with a solid case being put against him by Mueller there's a decent chance we could terrify the repukes into submission. They're cowards above all.
