Tax policy concept

Just some ideas I was kicking around There may not be any way to incorporate this into the tax debacle that was just rammed through.

The status quo tax policy should not be changed lightley. One of the reasons that we always here from Chamber of Commerce types is "certainty in business." Didn't hear a lot about that this time.

The Greedy Old Farts did this predicated upon an increase in the GDP, despite the CBO scoring. about hoe these CEOs would plow their savings into jobs, etc. (despite what most CEOs said they would actually do with their savings.

We also know that the GOP and Trumpty have said that there would be no cuts to Medicare, etc/ but we know that when the increase in GDP doesn't happen, and when the deficit suddenly goes through the roof (ok, througher the roof) That there will be automatic cuts to Medicare, etc.

My idea was how to hold them to their promised economic gain.

Why can't the new tax cuts (tax policy) be sunsetted if we don't get those gains rather than sunsetting the safety net.

The policy could be triggered to sunset if there are not an increse in living wage jobs by a certain amount. etc.

My apologies about the writing here and half baked ideas

I would not be surprised if you all come up with all sorts of reasons that we could never get anything like this done or that it would not work or ....

positive and useful responses. Possible this needs to go from some constituents to a Democratic senator and congress reps. Possibly a rep would introduce this- even if it only gets shot down.

I think we need
1. the overall condemnation of the tax bill coming from people and Representatives
2. pin-pointed proposals such as this - that point out the hypocrisy and dishonesty of the tax bill- being discussed also.
