Once this atrocious tax bill is signed, Trump is toast.

It's been so clear to me since this all started. Trump is being used by the GOP just for his signature.

The GOP will get Trump to sign off on one of the worst policies ever enacted. After that, they will toss him under the bus by impeaching, invoking the 25th amendment, or getting him to resign.

This accomplishes a few things...

The GOP gets to give a big, fat, present to the top 1%

The GOP gets to "save" the country by removing Trump.

Trump is no longer an issue in the upcoming election.

Pence ascends without taking the blame for signing the bill.

...and Trump gets blamed for everything. If the country collapses, it was his fault (or the Democrats).

The way this is playing out, he will be out of office before election season. I'd be very surprised if he lasts past summer.

That's the perfect pretext once #fakepresidents crimes are exposed. It's shooting fish in a barrel.

There has been an uptick in "Trump is crazy/delusional/demented" articles lately.

It is no coincidence.

Totally noticed the amping up of how insane he is. Even Tony what’s his name who wrote Art Of The Deal was playing along. Soooooo transparent. Meanwhile Pence is cryptically quiet.

He has been the most invisible VP in modern times, imo, appearing only to publicly kiss Trump's ass. He is also, and has been, very much on Mueller's radar. He's going to go down, and the innocent I was lied to card won't save him this time.

No Republican candidate wants to be associated with any measure to remove Trump, who still enjoys full support from something like 40% of the electorate. And these supporters are, as you said, rabid in their devotion.
