My prediction- Trump is irrational and will fire Jeff Sessions pronto to be able to fire Mueller

Because he thinks this is a game.
And all hell will break loose once he attempts to do that.
Quick impeachment
NY attorney general will be waiting with multiple state charges after all this.

Given his track record, yep, Trump will likely do something stupid and irrational. n/t RKP5637 Dec 2017 #2

Tubby now knows It's MUELLER time.
I expect something big as he moves closer.
Especially to Jr and Jared.

Why would he have to fire Sessions in order to fire Mueller?

His deputy, Rosenstein (sp?), is the one that appointed Mueller. So Trump can't directly fire the deputy attorney General, who is the one that has the authority to fire Mueller. He has to go through his AG. He will need a new attorney general to be able to do that. Problem is, Senate will not confirm a new AG because it is now clear to everyone that Trump is simply trying to obstruct justice.

The line of succession is Rosenstein. I guess he could keep firing until he finds his Bork.

A nice little summary in the New York Times that came out during the Bork hearings.
