It seems to me that they knew he lied to the FBI from the beginning. Trump knew that when he asked Flynn to resign. They showed him the evidence at the time.
The lie was about discussing sanctions against Russia. They had him on tape. There was no way for him to escape that charge.
What did he get in return for pleading guilty to that one charge? What charges did Mueller agree to drop against Flynn to get the "guilty" plea?
Did he have to give up any information on Trump to get a "deal"?
What did Mueller get in return?

(6,407 posts)He hasn't yet pled guilty (I think that shit show is scheduled for 10:30).
I'm sure Mueller got the better end of the deal and I'm hoping that 10:30 is party time. The announcement that Papadop had pled guilty was sort of the icing on the cake the day Manafort and Gates were charged.
What would be lucious about this is to have Flynn actually stand up in court and plead guilty to this trivial charge...that's got to be the equivalent of saying publicly to Trump: "me and my buddy Bob worked out an arrangement".

(16,995 posts)they had the tape evidence against Flynn, and they fired her instead.
It's great that they are going over the "Flynn timeline" now on MSNBC and they are showing a lot of Sally Yates.
I am also very curious about what Mueller got in exchange for the guilty plea.
Interesting times! Sad, but interesting.
