(13,088 posts)I will kill myself before I lose the shack I live in.
I worked like a mule to get everything I have before I became disabled.
I have been scraping by on Social Security Disability.
3 more years and this shack is mine.
I am the first female in my family to own land and a home without the help of a man.
They will have to take me out on a stretcher.

Ya think people would learn from history.
Will the USA survive, I think we will but have to re-build but the GOPs must go.

It's exactly what we are and have been fighting for. This is a war and it isn't even close to over. For all we know it just started.

(30,481 posts)They have been pretty elevated. I do think your concern is warranted and don't outright dismiss them. I also don't think we are at a starting or ending point. Just a point. This country has been moving in the right direction since it's inception. Almost all of it, when viewed over the long-haul, shows a clear progressive trend. At one point there was no medicare, SS, workers rights, safety regulations, business regulations, etc.. That was under the same government design we have today, it's just now much larger in scope and helping exponentially more people. We have to keep fighting so these things don't get rolled back in the long-run.

Those are the questions that need to be asked.
