Prince Harry says Trump is not welcome at his wedding: Trump is a serious threat to human rights

England’s Prince Harry is getting married, to the disappointment of aspiring princesses everywhere, and it’s looking like president Trump will not be on the guest list.

Meghan Markle is an American citizen and Donald Trump might expect an invitation to the wedding, expected to take place next spring.

However, Prince Harry is reportedly privately highly critical of Trump, with US Weekly reporting earlier this year that he “is not a fan” of Trump.

“Harry thinks the president is a serious threat to human rights,” a “close source” told the magazine.

https://www.nova-magazine.net/prince-harry-trump-not-welcome-wedding-meghan-markle/

I don't know the source but I liked the title.
It also mentions that the Obamas will be invited.

Refutations of a wedding seem rather like grade school petulance as well.

But I'm certain you'll rationalize your own behavior as just, righteous and pure in the face of adversity (the dramatic adversity you face in this case though, is merely a lack of ill will towards the royal family-- so I realize the desire for melodrama to lend it credibility beyond what it warrants)).

Grade school children do indeed, hold others to a higher standard then they hold themselves to.

State affairs require invites to recognized heads of state who usually send a representative, if at all. Weddings are entirely the call of the families; they can be as elaborate or simple as they choose.

But "close source"? Huh.

I suspect to save embarrassment all round, Trump will be too busy golfing elsewhere/gnawing his leg off to get out of his manacles to attend, and nobody, but nobody will even notice his absence.

If he did attend, he'd be driven to be that guy who shouts out when the officiant asks whether anybody knows of any just cause or impediment why they shouldn't be joined in holy matrimony, just to get his fair share of the limelight.

There'll be enough hoopla on the day anyway without the grand distraction of an even more humungous security detail.

I am sometimes amused by these "I found this news article" posts, which don't mention where they found it, and it is some cookie-cutter template thing.

Now, we do have a couple of posters here at DU who essentially use DU to clickbait their own re-hashed "news" sites, or "write stuff and get traffic" sites.

But what was amusing about this particular one is coming in with a claim that they weren't familiar with the source. Well, gollly, howdja find it?
