Must be the reason why this letter was on the bottom.

KATHY HEGGEMEIER
Portsmouth, Va., July 18, 2012
Having argued with right wingers about DADT for years online, I wondered if it was sarcastic and anti-gay. The first two letters on the webpage were pro-civil rights, but this one struck me as pro-civil rights, or the other two options I suggested.
Some people object to people getting their primary outdoor training in the military, and poor kids finding it their only opportunity to advance in society.
Some idiots still object to gays serving openly in the military. And they will vote for Romney because they consider Obama's actions wrong. The die-hard fundies who are following the gospel of right wing bigotry. It's quite tiresome, there was no way to get through to them about DADT, same sex marriage or any of it. They are rabid on the subject say it's a sign of the End Times. No amount of reasoning or calls for equality fazed them.
So unless you have access to the print copy mentioned at the lower part of the page, I'm still not sure about Kathy Heggemeier being supportive. The Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts are fine if they don't discriminate.
I was surprised at this announcement and was hoping for a change, really, they need to come along. We need to get kids in the outdoors, maybe an atlerative group will have to be established if they won't let go of this. They get privileges that should not be given to groups that discriminate.
