There's just something wrong with snow while there are trees still with leaves...

We are getting snow in Minneapolis. Some of the trees have shed their leaves, but not all of them. I was able to run the lawn mower yesterday and add what was on the ground to my compost pile, so that's a plus. Snowy and windy today - 33 degrees with a "feels like" of 27 degrees. Not supposed to break 45 degrees for the next 10 days, which probably means we have seen the last of 50 until spring.

Today makes me want to just curl up under a blanket.

There were a lot of unhappy trees in my neighborhood, including the next door neighbor, who lost a huge branch & weren't we lucky it just missed our fence. After that, the leaves dropped quickly. There are only a few left & this Halloween will be one with bare tree limbs. But I'm in Colorado, so we will have lots of gorgeous days between now & next spring! Not to rub it in.

It's ugly out there, although more of an annoyance than anything else.

I think the doggies are going to miss their afternoon walk.

that it is below 90 degrees, kids can go back to school and the red flag, fire danger has been lifted in San Diego. It has felt like a hair dryer outside all week...YUK! I can finally take my dog for a walk.

The daffodils popped up and flowered about 10 days ago.
Some shrubs around the yard, which had bare branches, are now spring green leafing out.

It is 71 degrees here, about 90 miles north of Mobile. I have the patio door open so the cats can look thru the screen, as they usually do.
Cold snap supposed to hit us this weekend, but after Monday, back to the hi 70's....
