(94,974 posts)Those millions could be spent getting Democrats elected.

(24,461 posts)He's worth 1.6 billion and leads a relatively modest lifestyle.
He's done more than enough to get Democrats elected. He's allowed to multi-task.

An unhinged maggot with nukes is scary not " silly".

(94,974 posts)...but if it makes you feel better, my wife and I spent $100 K + on the last election cycle, and the decision where to put that money was ruthlessly emotionless. I burn through a lot of hard data as to which races are competetive. Emotional pleas like the Koch Bros. Are targeting me, or Im running to beat Paul Ryan/Steve King/Ted Cruz leave me cold.

(19,834 posts)Probably. That's ok. I'll still sign it....

(94,974 posts)A wealthy conservative put money into every competitive State legislative race, no matter how obscure. Not with a specific agenda; just a desire to get rid of Democrats.
Strategic investing, not emotional investing.

(63,221 posts)Tom Steyer is the sanest person in the world compared to Trump. In fact, he is the anti-Trump. He sounds like a very interesting person and someone who is truly dedicated to making the world a better place. More at link below:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tom_Steyer
Thomas Fahr Steyer (born June 27, 1957) is an American hedge fund manager, philanthropist, environmentalist, progressive activist, and fundraiser.
Steyer is the founder and former co-senior managing partner of Farallon Capital and the co-founder of OneCalifornia Bank, which became (through merger) Beneficial State Bank, an Oakland-based community development bank.[2] Farallon Capital manages $20 billion in capital for institutions and high-net-worth individuals. The firm's institutional investors include college endowments and foundations.[2] Since 1986, Steyer has been a partner and member of the Executive Committee at Hellman & Friedman, a San Francisco-based $8 billion private equity firm. In 2010, Steyer and his wife signed The Giving Pledge to donate half of their fortune to charity during their lifetime. In 2012, he sold his stake in and retired from Farallon Capital. Switching his focus to politics and the environment, he launched NextGen America, a non-profit organization that supports progressive positions on climate change, immigration, health care, and education.
In October 2017, NextGen America donated grants totaling $2.3-million dollars to eight national immigration law service organizations, including the University of California Immigrant Legal Services Center, the Immigration Law Clinic at UC Davis School of Law, UC Hastings Center for Gender and Refugee Studies, Asian Americans Advancing Justice Asian Law Caucus, California Rural Legal Assistance Foundation, Center for Community Change, American Immigration Lawyers Association. and the Council on American-Islamic Relations.[5] Steyer served on the Board of Trustees at Stanford University[6] from 2012 to 2017.

(46,166 posts)His quiet and sincere message caught my attention because it's so different from the usual noisy, active adverts. He's anything but wacky or unhinged. But that's Trump projecting again. We all know T is more than a slice short of a loaf.

(24,461 posts)Sooner or later, these congressional Republicans have GOT to realize that with each day in office, Trump becomes more toxic to their brand and re-election chances.
Really, who wants to be the politician with THAT albatross hanging around their neck? They'd have to be AS dumb as Schtroumpf is.

(30,678 posts)Did you ever see a winner full of so much sour grapes???
He's hurting and lashing out because he DIDN'T win and people don't love him.
It's like when the principal's son cheats to get the Prom King crown and so when he grabs the Prom Queen by the pu**y and she slaps him and he's all "You'll see. I'll get you." And then a bucket of garbage lands on him and everybody laughs and Prom King marches out full of rage and vowing revenge.
"You'll pay!" he says. "You'll all pay!"
And that's how Ill Douche was created.
