WHAT CAN WE DO to help in Puerto Rico

Its getting ridiculous - time to step up to the plate as individuals and take responsibility and help out our fellow Americans.Just like during Katrina, the difference in how predominantly white/republican areas are treated vs. those w/ significant non-conservative & populations of color couldnt be more obvious... and embarassing. And just like Katrina/New Orleans, the neglect and expressions of futility Im sure are intentional, prelude to turning it all over to private interests

Anyway. This article was interesting: http://www.pbs.org/newshour/rundown/can-help-hurricane-victims-puerto-rico/

Wondering if anyone else out there has some thoughts on wheres good places to donate $, volunteer, etc. - your experiences? Regretfully I never learned Spanish i n high school when I had the chance, spoze its not too late to start now!

But most Puerto Ricans I dealt with spoke fluent, idiomatic English with Mid-Atlantic accents in addition to Spanish. I thought of my wretched grasp of Spanish and was embarrassed.
