ASHEVILLE, N.C. —
Asheville Police and the FBI have identified the person of interest in connection with an explosive device that was left at the airport.

Michael Christopher Estes, 46, is described as 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighs approximately 200 pounds, according to Asheville Police.

Police said he has multiple tattoos on his arms and wrists.

Police are asking anyone with information of Estes whereabouts to contact CrimeStoppers at 828-255-5050.

Police said if Estes is seen, do not approach him and call 911.

8. My wife flew out of Asheville yesterday

She got a notification around 8 am that her flight was delayed. She was scheduled to fly @ 10:45. Would have been at the airport 9 if we hadn't signed up for text alerts. What could have been gives me chills.
