Stopped for lunch, found out Tom Petty passed, and just to round out my day there was 4 red necks at the counter talking shit.

Some bald fucker about my age said something to the effect "Those liberals are to dumb to see how gun control doesn't work in Chicago." I'm sitting in a booth behind them ( At a Waco truck stop Denny's) and repeated what I shouted at Saunders on my radio 15 minutes earlier.
Gun control doesn't matter if you can drive 10 minutes from the South Side and buy anything you want in Indiana". I then nodded to the TV running Faux News and said in an angry quavering voice "you can thank the NRA and their asshole supporters for that pile of bodies in Las Vegas".

The guys stared at me for a moment, and turned back towards TV and started using their inside voices.

I think they sensed I have no more fucks to give today.
